United Power Company (UECS) is engaged in the power generation and transmission business. The Company owns and operates Manah Power Station and the ITF (Inter Connection and Transmission Facilities). The Company power plant at Manah has a total capacity of 270 MW.
The company was established primarily to undertake a project to build, own, operate and transfer the power station at Manah and the interconnection and transmission facilities to the government of Oman. This project constitutes the first privately developed and owned power plant and interconnection transmission facilities in the Sultanate of Oman.
