CBD hosts seminar on global markets outlook

CBD has been hosting regular seminars focused on important topics exclusively for its corporate and commercial banking customers.

In its constant efforts aimed at strengthening relationship with its customers, Commercial Bank of Dubai recently organised a seminar under the title ‘Outlook for Global Markets’ in Abu Dhabi.

Ra’ed Abu Baker, CBD’s Abu Dhabi Regional Manager, said: “Customers have always been CBD’s first priority and we believe hosting such seminars provides value-added information to our clients. This seminar is aimed at giving insights on the emerging trends in the regional and global financial markets and we hope that our clients will benefit from it for taking informed decisions.”

CBD has been hosting regular seminars focused on important topics exclusively for its corporate and commercial banking customers.

The presentations by senior management from the CBD focused on three major themes; namely; the political and economic issues and trends in 2015 that will impact bonds and equities markets; the hedging opportunities in interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity markets; and the investment potential in other major asset classes.

For the participants from the local business community it was a unique opportunity to connect with the bank’s representatives and discuss with them the outlook for companies and markets in the emirate. Participants gave feedback that the seminar was very useful for their corporate planning, especially for structuring their hedging and investment strategies for 2015.

“The seminar was a resounding success for CBD and reflects the bank’s continued commitment to expand its presence in Abu Dhabi to serve both corporate and personal banking segments,” said Abu Baker.

CBD is embarking on a major expansion of its activities across the country.  The bank currently has five branches operating in Abu Dhabi servicing corporate, commercial, business banking and personal banking clients covering both conventional and Islamic banking products
