Samsung, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, has been ranked for the 3rd year in a row as the number one brand in Saudi Arabia on the list of “Top 10 Buzz Rankers” by YouGov Brand Index, part of the 2014 Mid-Year Rankings.
The Rankings compare BrandIndex Buzz scores for over 200 brands in Saudi Arabia, to reveal the brands with the most positive reputation in the first half of the year. Jae Cheon Park, General Manager of Samsung Electronics in Saudi Arabia, said: “We listen to clients, and aim to go beyond their expectations through new innovations that fulfill their needs and daily aspirations. We believe that, this is the secret to our success and dominating the global rankings while maintaining the lead in the Saudi market.”
This year Samsung has continued to roll out more highly praised Android-based products with the Galaxy S5 smartphone and Galaxy TAB S to the Curved UHD TV. Samsung is the only electronics company which appears in eleven Top 10 lists across the fifteen countries surveyed, and takes top position in Saudi Arabia and in the United Arab Emirates.
While comparing in the Saudi kingdom more than 450 brands across multiple sectors simultaneously, ratings revealed that Samsung was the most positive and accepted brand for the Saudi consumer during the first 6 months of 2014.
YouGov’s BrandIndex is considered the only authoritative measure to the Saudi audience. Rankings are created using YouGov’s BrandIndex Buzz score, which is calculated by asking respondents if they have heard anything, positive or negative about a brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news, word-of-mouth or friends and family.© Copyright - Saudi Gazette
